The Administrative Computing team is Dale Baird, Randy Rahn, David Metzler, Jonathan Zhang, Jo Vaughn, Scott Bailey and Tony Alfonso. We also consider Jason Harris, our Banner DBA as a team member, even though he’s officially in Network Services.

The services that we provide the campus community fall into two broad categories, support for mission critical administrative applications (primarily Banner) and projects. Our projects involve system programming and small database applications development in Oracle, project management for campus-wide or area specific needs, and business process evaluations and improvements. As a team, we budget 50% of our time to support and 50% to projects, with support issues taking top priority. This ratio may fluctuate from year to year depending on priorities and staffing. For example, with a vacancy the ratio might be about 70% support and 30% projects until the position is filled.
