Learning to See
This quarter I wanted to spend some time on my project work. So I made arrangements to go to Arizona for 8 days. I took a video camera, but decided at the last moment not to bring lights or anything else that would commit me to formal filming. I wanted to meet people and learn as much as I could.
The Arizona desert is a very different world from anything I'm familiar with. Part of what we tried to do was study the landscape. It is harsh but very beautiful. I understand why people love it here.
