MISSION STATEMENT

For my final presentation I decided to make a film, and (if successful) it will portray all of these ideas discussed so far. Going back to the beginning of my presentation, I started out with the definitions of Ritual, Routine and Instinct, in juxtaposition with the complied interviews asking the question: “Is sexuality sacred?” I also hope to explore the dynamics of what we relate to as sacred. What we relate to as mundane. And what we relate to as purely instinctual. I hope to do this through re-creating the context of image. Thus giving another view of how we recognize and identify with our surroundings, and reinventing our identity through everyday routine (which is present), but also reaching for a greater intelligence… Rituals that will connect us to our history, our ancestors and perhaps on an even grander scale our sense of self and purpose on this planet.
