This group was charged by the Academic ITCH to recommend revisions to the porfolio of collaborations tools on campus (as per IT Strategic Plan section 1.2.1).

Definition for “Collaboration Tools” (related to the potential work of this workgroup only)

“The computing tools and services that help formal and informal groups of people share information, communicate, coordinate and work together across boundaries for the purposes of academia, business and governance.  These tools may also be further divided into subgroups as (1) communication tools, (2) shared workspace/conferencing tools, and (3) collaboration management tools.”
