ASL
Below are American Sign Language resources available at the Language Lab, at Evergreen, and online.
American Sign Language Browser
The ASL Browser is an online video dictionary for American Sign Language signs. It is a reputable source for accurate demonstrations of American Sign Language and it is used by the Michigan State University Communication Technology Laboratory. Each entry contains a repeating quicktime video demonstration of the sign and a written description of the movements. Entries are well organized with an alphabet selection menu and a list of signs filed under each letter.
ASL Pro
ASL Pro is an online resource for students learning American Sign Language. The site contains video dictionaries for a number of different vocabulary groups, such as a religious dictionary, and an everyday conversational dictionary. Complementing these vocabulary groups are quizzes designed to help the user think about the signs critically. There is also a comprehensive main dictionary for anything not contained within the separate groups.
ASL University
ASL University is an online curriculum resource for students and teachers of ASL. It is free to use (unless formal documentation is required for a high school or college) and includes a picture dictionary, bookstore, and online quizzes. The content is current, and very useful as a tool for beginning level students, and as a refresher for more advanced signers. Signs are listed alphabetically as well as by subject, which is nice for students enrolled in the ASL class at Evergreen.
